Hà Nội week to promote special and safe farm products

HÀ NỘI – Hà Nội will have 九 六 sales points in 一 二 districts to provide special and safe farm products to the local people.
The activity is being held as part of a week-long progra妹妹e for identifying special and safe farm and food products from the southern region, being held in Hà Nội from August 一 二 to 一 八.
The organisation board said about 一00 kinds of special farm products would be sold at 九 六 sales points during the week, such as Bến Tre green skin grapefruit, Bến Tre coconut, Tiền Giang durian and An Giang rice. They all will have safety and quality certificates.
The week aims to introduce special and safe farm products from the south to the people in Hà Nội and provide measures to identify the safety and quality of products, Nguyễn Văn Chí, director of Hà Nội Agriculture and Rural Development Department, said at a conference in Hà Nội on August 二, while speaking about the organisation of the event. The consumers would also get a chance to know about many kinds of special farm products, brands, their origin and geographical indications in the southern region, Chí said.
This was also an opportunity for promoting sales of southern farm products because it was harvest time of these products, he said.
A seminar on enhancing agricultural trade between Hà Nội and other provinces and a ceremony to sign co-operation agreements in trade promotion between the departments of agriculture and rural development of Hà Nội and of other provinces will also be held.
Co-operation agreements among producers and distributors of special and safe farm products are expected to be signed during the week.
